Welcome to Strensall and Towthorpe Village Hall. A modern, flexible community venue in the heart of Strensall, just a short drive from York. Our village hall is available to hire for a wide variety of events, including children’s parties, fitness classes, community groups, business meetings, training sessions, concerts, family celebrations, and local events.
Village Hall Facilities
Our venue offers a choice of rooms to suit different occasions.
The Main Hall is a bright, spacious area that is ideal for exercise classes, children’s birthday parties, performances, concerts, community events, exhibitions, and larger meetings. Portable projection equipment and a screen can be provided on request, making the hall suitable for presentations and training sessions. The lighting was upgraded in September 2024, the floor has been professionally re-sanded, and the hall has recently been redecorated, with further improvements continuing throughout 2026.
Our Large Function Room is perfect for meetings, presentations, clubs, workshops, and smaller social events. It includes a built-in overhead projector with a motorised projection screen, a sound system with an induction loop, two wireless microphones, and a DVD player. The room was fully refurbished with new carpets, curtains, and decoration, with upgraded lighting installed in December 2024.
The Small Function Room provides a comfortable space for committee meetings, tutoring, hobby groups, interviews, and smaller community activities. It includes a fixed pull-down projection screen, with a portable projector available on request. The lighting was upgraded in February 2025.
A fully equipped kitchen is also available for hirers, making the venue suitable for parties, celebrations, and events where refreshments or catering are required.

If you would like to hire one of our rooms, please download our booking pack and complete the booking form. Once completed, send the form to our Finance Officer using the address provided within the booking pack.
